While the rest of the world is about to start celebrating fall, us Houstonians know a little better.  We are in the trenches of balmy 101° temperatures as of late.

Funny enough, the day we shot Kristina & Albert’s engagement pictures at Hermann Park, the heat index was 107°!  I’m pretty sure that not many couples could pull off looking so cool and collected in such heat.

Im looking forward to their March nuptials and one of the prettiest wedding venues, it’s going to be *amazing*!

Devin & Fred had their wedding this June at Big Sky Barn.  It was a perfect day.  June can be warm but there was a nice breeze and the clouds and sun took turns 😉

The day was full of special moments, including honoring parents and grandparents and capturing the sweetest emotional exchanges.  I don’t know which side of the tracks this boy from Deer Park and girl from La Porte will choose for their home, but I know that the life they will have together will be full of love, adventure and support from family that loves them both very much.

Devin & Fred, going on this journey with you from Pedernales State Park and all of our ‘funny moments’ that we won’t talk about publicly to waiting out the crazy weather and ‘other factors’ that wouldn’t budge for bridals to the most beautiful day of your lives, it’s been awesome.  I loved watching you both with your favorite twin nieces…they are so precious.  Fred, you are *so* talented with that amazing voice of yours – I’m blown away.  Devin, you are stunning.  What you do with the future education of children means so much and I know that you’ll be an amazing mommy one day.  I can’t wait to see the traditions created and the family that you’ll bring into the world.  Hugs to you both 😉

Heather and Jeff were married in Houston mid May, and this is a small account of their day through the eyes of this Houston wedding photographer.

Jeff was relaxed and all smiles.  He didn’t appear a bit nervous, just super ready to see is beautiful bride.  They decided to do a first look in the Magnolia Hotel before the wedding and it was really sweet.  Heather was nothing short of a princess.  Her dreamy dress, grandeur hairstyle, perfect glowing skin and flawless makeup, she made stunning look totally effortless.

The day was nearly perfect, and only rained for a few minutes while the group was on the bus.  We got out to take wedding party pictures and the sky let up just in time for us to make a world record of the fastest five minutes ever!

There was so much love poured into these two people.  The heartfelt speeches clued you in to just how special and cared for that they are.  The only one missing was little Portillo, their dachshund, but he at least made a cameo in their engagement photos!

I’m so pleased to present these images to you, Heather & Jeff.  Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day.

The bridal session that almost didn’t happen.  For real, guys.

Devin and I rescheduled like…FIVE times.  It was insane.  But finally we were given an open window.  It was a gorgeous day, but the wind was fierce and we almost lost the beautiful bride when her veil almost carried her away.  Fortunately, she was spared 😉

Anyway, now that this gorgeous brown eyed girl is finally married (as of this past weekend) I can finally show off her bridal portraits.  Don’t let her smiles fool you, she WORKED this session, and by the end, she was ready to have a massive meal!

Brittney & Zach are getting married next spring, and so we tackled their engagement session a few weeks ago.  It was just starting to warm up, so while it was hot, it wasn’t pass out hot! 😉

Brittney wanted a cute way to showcase their wedding date for the save the dates.  She mentioned that she was bringing a bike to take pictures with and so I suggested maybe balloons!  We connected with Big Ass Balloons and set it all up.  With the help of their very kind friend, Alex, we were able to guarantee that the balloons stayed nicely in place (thank you Alex!).

We ended up going past sunset and the skyline looked so pretty at twilight.  These two are both fightin’ Texas Aggies who love the Astros and I’m looking forward to the next year of celebrations with them!
