Stephanie & Charles woke up like this 😉

They are animal lovers (just ask Steph about their cats!), love a good cup of coffee and Charlie is an expert at making the perfect drink.  They are huge Coheed + Cambria fans and love to go to the concerts as often as possible.

These cuties are getting married this fall and I’m looking forward to watching their day unfold and capturing all of the fun moments to be had.  Until then, I leave you with this super cute engagement session!

One day before New Year’s Eve, a beautiful wedding took place at Peach Creek Ranch in College Station. Kaylee & Trey had a cozy outdoor wedding with their closest friends and family.  When Trey met Kaylee, he came home and told his Mom about her.  To his surprise, she knew exactly who Kaylee was and knew her  Mom!  They knew each other in college, and they even attended each others weddings.

The families had actually played together when Kaylee & Trey were very young but they didn’t remember.  They grew up 5 minutes away from each other and never set eyes on one another until junior college.  Imagine the delight from their parents!!

These two sweethearts will co-commute over the next two years  back and forth to St. Maarten, where Kaylee is attending medical school.  I imagine that will be hard, but I have every bit of confidence that these next two years will fly by and Kaylee will be back in Texas in no time!

Congratulations, you guys!  Thank you so so much for choosing me to be present to capture your beautiful wedding day.  XOXO

These two had the MOST fun engagement session with each other!  I don’t think I’ve ever had a couple who were laughing and carrying on so comfortably as Shannon & Chris.  They were SO much fun to hang out with…plus, we stopped and had Chris’ favorite, Grimaldi’s Pizza right in the middle of our session!  Pizza, pictures, perfect weather and really big smiles were enough to have me smiling all the way home, and it was a loooong drive!

Really, REALLY looking forward to getting to know you two better over the next year and sharing the smiles during your happy day!

Happy New Year!

These two are patiently awaiting the full term of their baby girl who is due in March.  I flew the short flight and joined them in their beautiful cozy home to take some maternity portraits.  We spent the afternoon eating, laughing, shooting and eating some more!  This is their first baby and I’m so honored I got to capture these moments for them.

This beauty is never one to run with the crowd.  She has her own vision, and she likes to do things a little different than the norm.  You won’t see any milk baths or flowing dresses tossed up in the air here.  Just a couple in love, snuggled up together in their home having fun.  And then a few solo portraits of the mommy to be…my favorite one at the end 😉

Aimee & Omar were married in an intimate ceremony at La Torretta Lake Resort in Montgomery last month.  They had those closest to them for this special evening and said their vows in a beautiful setting by the lake.  These two beautiful people had such amazing chemistry.  I love the way they would hug and smile and just cozy up to one another.  You can just see Aimee relax and focus on Omar the moment she sees him.

After their reception, Omar whisked Aimee off for an unforgettable honeymoon in New Zealand and Bora Bora.  They were welcomed back home by their two beautiful daughters and fully plan on living happily ever after 😉

A very Merry Christmas to you guys!!

Robert has been planning to propose to Yarden for the better part of a year now, and the night finally came.  After setting a date, changing the date, going back to the original and then changing it a final time, we finally had the solid plan.

Robert took her to dinner at their favorite restaurant and then to grab a coffee before heading for a stroll on a perfect evening in Houston.  Perfect evenings are sometimes hard to come by, with this city.  You never know what the weather is going to do.  Never.  It turned out perfectly, and she was completely taken by surprise.  Once he finally pointed me out across the way, they walked over and I will never forget how pink her cheeks were and how her eyes were lit up with joy.

We got a few more pictures under the lights of the bridge before he whisked her off to an intimate party where their families were waiting to celebrate the news!

Mozel tov, you two!!

One month ago, Abby and Tucker got married at All Saints Catholic Church among their closest family and friends.  They threw a gorgeous wedding reception at the Four Seasons Hotel where everyone showed off their best moves, dancing and celebrating the greatest day for these two incredibly awesome people.  I was the lucky photographer who got to capture it all, from the groomsmen hoisting the groom up in the air, to seeing a father breakdancing on the floor, and not to mention the groom serenading the bride with their favorite rap song!  But wait…there’s also the Smirnoff Ice challenge!!  I got to meet all of these amazing people and freeze their moments in time.  Below is a *not so small* glimpse into their soiree!  For the family members in Canada who weren’t able to make it, I hope by seeing these picture, you feel like you were there 😉

Amy + Chad.  I can’t speak highly enough about these two.  You guys, they are SO fun, and SO cool.  We went downtown to capture their engagement pictures and these two were all about just having fun with one another.  They made it look so easy!!  If the engagement session was a preview of their wedding day, I have no doubt that I will be having just as much fun as they are 😉

Chad couldn’t stop making Amy laugh, or stealing kisses, or grabbing her bottom 😀  I am so blessed to call these two new friends.  After we were done shooting, we headed over to Public Services for a few drinks and then had an awesome dinner at The Hearsay.  It was so fun to just sit back and talk about every day things, getting to know them better and laughing about different stories we each had about the Renaissance Festival.

I can’t wait for the wedding this coming May!

First of all, GO ‘STROS!!!  Houston Strong, baby!  I am SO freakin’ PROUD of the Astros…the World Series Champs!!!  This city is on fire <3

Speaking of athletes, this is Kristin & Shane!  They wanted to shoot in the Houston Warehouse District this October for their engagement pictures.  We got up before the sun came up and got it done in time for a hearty breakfast after!  Let me give you a little background on these two.

Kristin & Shane are 1) high school sweethearts 2) retired athletes 3) one of my new cool neighbors 4) parents of a boxer identical to one of ours.  This makes them awesome 😉   Below is a small account of our shenanigans.

You guys…don’t let these adorable smiles fool you…these two are tigers!  I had SO much fun shooting their engagement session at Rice University.  I met with Elizabeth and we talked for a bit about various things, including family, her fiancé Casey and the vision for their wedding. She was sweet and had a bright smile and I knew I instantly liked her.

On the day we met for pictures, it was an unseasonably warm October day.  Maybe that’s what got them warmed up quickly 😉  We laughed about a nearby photographer making noises and faces for a small toddler’s session taking place and I started mimicking the same antics for the two of them.  I’ll have to try that again, because it worked!  We were all rolling.  They are also a lot more feisty than I originally thought and immediately felt more at home with them. 😀

They will be getting married in April and I just can’t wait to see all the shenanigans that take place at their wedding!
