When it comes to sunsets, in my opinion California takes the cake. There isn’t anywhere else that you get that creamy, buttery beautiful sun besides SoCal. That, along with the elegant stylings of Charla & Krystle made this set up perfect.
We started up at a house in the hills of Santa Barbara, collecting details and getting tips on how to best set and photograph a tablescape. Our couple got dressed and did their first look in the garden, and then we drove down a bit to get some pictures in this gorgeous original green vintage mustang.
From there, we set off to Los Olivos and the Santa Ynez mountains for a quiet and intimate elopement with just a handful of guests. As always, the weather was gorgeous, and our couple did a great job. Of course in every day life you don’t have a full hour of time for pictures but as you can see below, we got a lot of sun, some just as the sun set and even a few at dusk.
This styled elopement was fast paced but nothing near what it is on the real day. I enjoyed shooting at this workshop because it gave me the freedom to create new content, get out of my comfort zone and gaining more experience on different ways of shooting while not practicing on clients. 🙂
