I LOVE this couple!! I can’t stress the importance of engagement photos when you’re getting married. Not only is it a perfect time to get some updated photos of yourselves, but it gives your photographer a chance to get to know you. To laugh, pose, interact…HUG your clients. To see them first hand with each other and see what makes them tick. Veronica and Pat are getting married in Arlington, Virgina next year, overlooking the Washinton Mall. It’s going to be perfect. The beginning of fall, a few Houston based vendors and THIS couple. Perfection! I truly envy all of the Washington D.C. wedding photographers, not to mention the Georgetown and Old Town Alexandria wedding photographers. D.C. and the surrounding areas are unbeleivably brilliant. As I walked along many streets scouting for the perfect locations, I admired the not yet peaked foliage, the rustling of leaves, the pumpkins on porch steps and even at night, along deserted streets, I felt so happy and safe. These guys were so laid back and up for whatever as we traipsed all over the city. They have great chemistry and have such a good time together. They make me laugh because they are so real. That may seem like an odd statement, but it’s true. I found myself feeling so at home with them.
Veronica & Pat-I simply can’t wait to see you guys again next year and be a part of your brilliant day!
One might be asking oneself what this couple is wearing and doing in this photo below…well I’ll tell you. They’re wearing African tissues. They bought them while working in the Peace Corps, and they were performing one of the African dances, and having a great time doing so!! 😉
So you see the flag there? Yes, well, that is a Beninese flag. Benin was the African state that Veronica and Patrick met in. And this last photo in b&w was meaningful, as Patrick was leaving again for Ghana RIGHT after our session. *tear* 😉
