I can’t stress how badly I wish I were a California native. Bay Area, San Francisco and Napa wedding photographers must rejoice in the scenery all the time.
Happiness has long awaited the pretty young lady below. When it found her, it was unexpected, and as a close friend, I was weary for her. I’ve been proved by Anthony over and over again that he is the most wonderful person both for Julie and as a friend. He’s kind, patient, smart and above all, a TRUE gentleman. While Anthony was on business in California, they asked me to fly out to capture their engagement pictures in San Francisco and Napa Valley over the weekend.
We made our way to Castello di Amorosa to take pictures in the winery cellar and among the gorgeous vineyard. Every wedding photographer in the San Francisco and Napa area is at a true advantage for the creamy golden sunlight and gorgeous mountains abundant in every direction. The connection that I see between these two gives me complete peace that they are made for each other. They have a gentleness with each other that I find SO refreshing.
On to Muir Woods and San Francisco, we took advantage of the whole day, which when you’re a photographer, can prove challenging due to mid day sunlight that is in NO way flattering! Still, we prevailed and were able to take advantage everywhere we went. I know it may sound cliche but I think the last set of engagement portraits at the Golden Gate Bridge were my absolute favorite. San Francisco has what’s called a ‘blue hour’. It’s my favorite. The fog rolls it’s way in to cover the hills and city causing this beautiful blue haze. During our session, a break in the clouds at sunset let a streak of pink make its way through and we were just in awe.
I hope you enjoy looking through this as much as I did taking them.
