I can’t say enough good things about Stori. What can I say?  She’s ideal. Beautiful, full of life, smooth skin and she needed no direction whatsoever!  She has so much confidence in front of the camera and made my job SO easy.  She’s well behaved, and sweet as pie.  I recently shot her mothers wedding in December.  Stori just had a birthday and turned 14, and what she wanted was a photoshoot–which she ROCKED!

You don’t get any better than this for an American girl.

Jasmine & Zach are a sweet young couple who I got to spend a little time with recently for their engagement shoot.  I’m very excited to shoot their wedding–for two reasons.  First, upon meeting Jasmine and her mother, they both instantly gave me a warm feeling.  They are kind and EXCITED about the wedding!  The second reason I look forward to this wedding is because Jasmine told me that photography is the most important thing to her.  This is what I LOVE to hear, people!!  You’re going to have lots of gifts and memories after your big day, but the only proof you have is the photography or cinematography.  The cake will be eaten, the dress put away, but when it’s all done, you get a set of pictures to remember how perfect your day was.  It doesn’t get much better than this 😉

This family came to me from Kansas!

They wanted to bring their babies to see the ocean.  Meet Jen, Brad, Lola and Benny.  I am SUCH a sucker for dogs, and they were soooo adorable.  They even dressed up for the occasion in ties and necklaces 😉  These guys had never been to Galveston, so we decided to shoot right on the beach and let the babies enjoy the scenery.  We let Lola free and she took off on us once, but luckily, she’s a good girl and came back!  Jen and Brad, thanks so much for choosing me to capture you guys and the puppies.  I hope you guys had a great rest of your trip!

She is one of my best friends.  We’ve laughed, cried, tested each other and traveled the world.  She’s known as ‘Uncle Ned’s Kid’ to my Mom’s family, and as ‘The Other Granddaughter’ to my Dad’s family.  I don’t know what I’d do without her sometimes.  She’s giving, kind and beautiful.  She’s my red wine buddy.  And she keeps me in check.  She’s Jodi Wenzl~and she’s marrying my husbands best bud, Ryan.  He and Ryan grew up together.  I guess you could say they are our double date couple 😉

It’s very rare that I get good chemistry shots right off the bat, but no joke, the first picture below was one of the first pictures I took.  They had a great time shooting.  It was like I wasn’t even there, they just kept making each other laugh!  They get married this October and I cannot wait to capture their day.  I have no doubt that they will make each other very happy and have a very long life together full of love, laughter, tears and joy.

Love you guys.

The name Berg has been in my vocabulary since I was at least 8 years old.  The Berg’s were a family that lived on the same correctional unit as I did growing up.  Serena Berg was my best friend from the time I was 8 until 13 when I had to move away to Houston and it crushed me into pieces.  Her little brother Joe was just another bratty kid that we had to deal with messing up our mud pies and throwing bugs at us.  Joe is all grown up now, and has a little perfect baby of his own.  It’s funny how life is truly a circle.  Everything comes around.  It makes me smile.  Joe and I talked about Beto I and how if you didn’t live there…you didn’t get it.  It was a completely odd way of living, but it was normal to us.

Joe, here’s to normal 😉 and to your beautiful baby girl.  I hope she and Mommy are into a nice and comfy routine.
