When a creative gets an idea, they want to bring it to life. To bring it to life requires vision, commitment, dedication and teamwork.  This was the case with Daniella, owner of The Added Touch Events, who collaborated this whole shoot and made it all possible.

Looking for something a bit ethereal and romantic for one of her 7 ambitious shoots this day, I took her inspiration board and ran with it.  This is what we ended up with and I just love it.  None of it would have been possible without her  spearheading of the project and highlighting Houston’s own Arboretum for the setting.

Below is a small account of the hard work put into this shoot by artists of all natures.  Thanks to all of you.

Photographing weddings in Houston doesn’t get much easier than this, you guys (aside from the heat)!

Just look at the adorableness going on here!

Suzy has SUCH an amazing energy and I knew that she was going to be an amazing person to work with.  No stress, just love, happiness and joy.  She also HAND PAINTED her wedding shoes as well as all of the bridesmaid shoes with different Disney character themes! ???????? Harry was all smiles and go with the flow, minus the August heat!  He may have tried to steal a peek at the bride once, but can you blame him??

I love being around these two and am excited to share a little peek into their wedding day.

Suzy & Harry, many blessings!

That is what I first thought of Susan when I spoke with her.  She wanted to book over the phone and I’m leery of doing this.  I want for couples to make sure they like me first, but she just laughed and said “I already like you!”  Her laugh was contagious, as was her east Texas accent (which is dear to my heart).

When Susan laughs, she does so with her whole body and soul.  She’s a happy woman in love and it shows.  Chuck’s deep voice came over the phone very soft spoken and gentle.  I could tell he genuinely wanted whatever she did just so he could see her smile.  Two families joined together this July and they are SO fun.  The whole wedding party had a surprise dance off that had the crowd turned up and ready to party.

Below is a small account of what happened that hot day in July. The nurse who took a chance on a blind date with one of her patients family members changed her life forever.

Summer isn’t officially here yet, but it sure is HOT!

That didn’t stop Casie and Anthony from braving the heat for their engagement session here in Houston.  I’m so proud of them, they did awesome!  Afterward, we enjoyed cocktails at The Grove and visited along with Casie’s Mom.

I learned that Anthony loathes shopping, so he’s a huge fan of Amazon 😉  he travels to some pretty awesome places for work and that he’s a serious golfer.  Casie enjoys shopping (girl after my own heart), she loves traveling and she’s got a tight group of sorority sisters.

I’m so excited to capture their wedding this fall in The Woodlands, and until then here’s a little inside scoop from their engagement pictures!

Every Saturday I wake up to a good day, a special day, and I get to preserve precious moments for two people in love.  I’m a Houston wedding photographer and I love getting to do this job.

Kristina & David went out in style on their day.  While David relaxed at the pool with his best guys, Kristina remained relaxed as well up in her suite surrounded by her beautiful friends who kept her champagne glass full!  They even had their fur babies there to be part of the wedding festivities. 🙂

From start to finish, this was a gorgeous day.  To hear David’s story of how he and Kristina met, the progression of the years and the anticipation leading up to this day, I felt so honored to be a small piece in their big day!

She wore Jimmy Choo Wedding Shoes for her big day!

As a Houston wedding photographer there’s no shortage of talent, so the ultimate flattery is when a bride comes to you and puts her full trust in you for documenting the biggest day in her life.  Such was the case with Sarah and Blake.  Sarah came into my life just months before her wedding in search of someone who would capture her vision.  She’s been a huge blessing to me.  The love I see in Blake’s eyes for his bride is nothing short of inspiring and everyone can feel the love when Sarah smiles at her new husband.

It’s an incredible feeling when at the end of the night, the beautiful bride and groom that hired you turns to you, hugs you and thanks you before climbing into the vintage car that whisks them away.  That moment is what feeds my soul.

Thank you Sarah & Blake

Having your wedding at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is SUCH a fun way to celebrate! I was so excited to photograph Shelby and Aaron’s wedding there this March.  They were married in the overlook room above the Paleontology hall.  Shelby had Blome’s Paperie build a BEAUTIFUL backdrop for the centerpiece of their wedding ceremony and it was a great idea!

These two were so much fun to spend the day with.  Aaron (as you can see) provided a bit of comic relief and had fun with the camera, but when it was time to put on the suit, he wore it like a handsome gentleman.  Shelby and her girls had the champagne and mimosas flowing and conversation was full of laughter.

The night was perfect and what wedding is complete without one of the groomsmen taking over the band microphone!

Below is proof that the day happened as described. 😉
