It feels like forever ago that I met with Cara & John. I guess it was… we met well over a year before their actual wedding date. So much has happened since then. They signed the contract and proceeded forward with their wedding plans~ and then life happened. No seriously…LIFE. They found out they were expecting! We went ahead with bridal portraits using a different dress, and then also the engagements. Poor Cara…she’s an amazing woman. Did I mention that while trying to plan a grand wedding and finding out she was pregnant, she was also studying for her law school boards?? All this, and she’s still one of those super sweet girls who is willing to do whatever you ask her. Major props, Cara.
So, the day finally came. Thanks to Lauren with Something to Celebrate, the day flowed beautifully. The most memorable part of their day for me? John’s speech. He spoke about what a wonderful, compassionate and caring woman Cara is. He said that she was the kind of person who you want to move mountains for, just to see her smile.
I know that the two of you will be very happy together. Again, I’m honored to have been able to capture your day.
Also, many thanks to my second shooter, Kris Fulk. You were a great asset and I’d work with you again any day!
Little man here is going to break many hearts one day.

Needless to say, Lauren and her group over at Something to Celebrate have everything covered. Right down to a party favor even for the wedding crashers!
I may be criticized by some for showing this image because of the fact that it is underexposed. I ‘saved’ it in Lightroom because I feel that this was such a candid shot of Cara. She has such an elegance about her; She was just relaxed and watching her new husband dancing with his mother.
